Urbana emo band Euriah has released the first single off its upcoming release Passenger.
You can listen to “Hesitation (Whirlwind)” and pre-order the EP from Heirship Records here, although there’s no release date set for the record yet.
Euriah frontman Eric Stanley played acoustic versions of half the EP on an episode of “Kitchen Jams” earlier this year.
Stanley also talked to Ghost Track earlier this year about the concept record:
“It is a concept record about my brother battling a drug addiction and my thoughts throughout that process and seeing that develop over the course of several years and my response to all of it,” Stanley said on the Ghost Track Podcast. “(I’m) trying to write some songs that are honest about it and going through those dealing with that and it’s been kind of an emotional one, which is interesting as well.”
The six-track EP was recorded at Earth Analog in Tolono, Ill., and Minbal Studios in Chicago with Seth Engel.
