STREAM: Earthholder’s New EP Don’t Worry, We Feel It Too

EarthholderChampaign band Earthholder has been gearing up for its debut release for almost a year and you can finally listen to their debut EP Don’t Worry, We Feel It Too via Ghost Track.

The three-piece instrumental band will officially release the EP on May 6 with a show at Mike N Molly’s — one of the last shows at the downtown Champaign bar before it changes ownership one week later.

“Orie (Turnbull) and I started this band with literally one goal in mind: To be in the loudest band we’ve ever played in,” said Denton Hird. “I think I can speak for him and say that we are accomplishing our goal and just plan for it to get louder. Really, all three of us come from a heavy music background and wanted to get back to some of those roots.”

The band’s goal is clear from the moment the rattling bass enters in the EP’s opener, “Welcome Friends,” and carries the track’s thumping bass and distortion qualities for the entirety of the 25-minute release.

The band’s EP was recorded with Cloud Gavin frtonman Zach Hudson.
