Chicago singer-songwriter Mitar will release his latest Emerald EP this week, but Ghost Track is excited to stream the release in its entirety.
You can listen to the EP here:
Mitar has been releasing albums for years around Chicago and touring across the country.
Mitar’s latest EP was written and recorded by himself, as his others have been in the past. The Emerald EP, however, was aimed to do something differently than the singer-songwriter has aimed to do in the past by commenting on social issues, rather than strictly personal reflections.
“While a couple lyrics are there for comic relief, the major themes reflect gun violence, the monstrous machine behind advertisements, escaping the encapsulating city life, and inner struggles,” the musician said. “I want to let the songs do most of the talking.”
Mitar has no shows scheduled at the moment, but voiced efforts to go out on a major tour in the near future.
