We’re excited to premiere the video for the first track off Kenna Mae‘s upcoming album Blue Darlin’, entitled “Trash.”
The Central Illinois singer-songwriter is planning to release the record in October.
The album was recorded with James Treichler earlier this year, while the video fro “Trash” was filmed by John Isberg, who has recently worked with Champaign-Urbana artists Truck Parts on their latest video.
“Trash” bodes well for what’s to come on Blue Darlin’. The track offers a taste of the genuine emotion that Kenna Mae Reiss seemed to pour into the record – and you’d have to imagine it’s something she’s confident in, having raised nearly $3,000 to fund the record. “Trash” has its moments of soft, lonely comfort and then cathartic bursts of heart-felt proclamations. If anything, the track does what it’s supposed to as an advanced release, driving up anticipation for what’s shaping up to be a promising album.
