Broke this Labor Day? No worries! Phantom Note Productions brings you this free show at Door Number 3 in Wicker Park. Playing the show is What Gives, a feel-good-punk band from Chicago. Stopping through from Michigan are emo-pop band The Cardboard Swords. Rounding out the line-up are Chicago emo and punk bands Pinto and Angel Lust.

Math-Rock duo with an alien persona Space Blood already have their own Malort, and for one night they will get their own beer. Tallgrass Brewing Company will host a special beer launch party at Emporium Barcade in Wicker Park. On tap will be Tallgrass Brewing’s own Zombie Monkie, 8-Bit Pale Ale, 16 Bit, Bourbon Barrel Buffalo Sweat, and a specially brewed firkin of Space Blood, The Beer (Zombie Monkie with coconut and cocoa). The party starts at 6 p.m., when you can indulge in the new Zombie Monkie while having your zombified portrait drawn by Chicago artist Daniel Warren Johnson. Joining Space Blood on the bill are fellow Chicago bands New Color and horse massage.
