Thee Deathtower (Champaign, Ill.)
8 p.m. | $5 | Tuesday, August 4

Arguably two of the best Champaign-Urbana punk bands (Horrible Things and Teddy Bomber) come together on a small, three-band bill in support of the touring Dark Thoughts. Horrible Things’ record Everybody Else is already one of the best things to come out of the Central Illinois music scene this year, while Teddy Bomber (formerly Los Assparados) has had quite the year of its own, going through a name change and a brief lineup shuffle while also releasing some great, new music. To top this all off, the show is happening at Thee Deathtower, one of the best, and one of the last, DIY venues still surviving in the area.

Spraynard / Ratboys / Brickfight / Nervous Passenger
1st Ward (at Chop Shop) (Chicago, Ill.)
7 p.m. | $10 | Wednesday, August 5

Pop punk band from Pennsylvania, Spraynard, stop through Chicago. Joining them are Chicago’s own Ratboys, coming home from  a long summer of extensive touring. Also playing are Brickfight and Nervous Passenger.
