STREAM: Options’ new single “Daylight”

OptionsChicago band Options will release their first full-band LP since 2013’s What You Want on June 9, titled Driftwood Metaphor.

Listen to the first single “Daylight” here:

“Daylight,” the sixth track off the album, follows Seth Engel’s style of songwriting heard on his previous albums. But the quality of Driftwood Metaphor exceeds anything the Chicago musician has done in the past, having recently started to focus his work on¬†recording other bands’ projects over the past few years around the Chicagoland area.

Engel¬†wrote all 13 tracks on the record, which will be released on the band’s bandcamp page. Matt Kissinger (Engel’s bandmate in Coaster) helped Engel record the album this past winter at The Owlery in Chicago.

Engel said there’s no immediate plans for Options to tour behind the new album.
