Ratboys Sign With Topshelf Records

RatboysRatboys announced today that they signed with Topshelf Records and will release their debut LP Aoid on June 9.

The Chicago-based band also announced Jordan Parel will be taking over on drums after Ratboys’ original drummer Pat Kennedy moved to Winnipeg for school late last year. Drummer Danny Lyons had previously been filling in for Kennedy.

Ratboys had previously released a self-titled EP via Swerp Records and a two-song demo last May.

The band also shared a new song off the record called “Tixis” on Wednesday via BrooklynVegan, which the band has been playing live for over a year.

Ratboys shared the first track off the record “Have a Heart” earlier this year with a music video:
