Mike N Molly’s

An alt-country throw down takes place in downtown Champaign on April 24. Tigerbeat has been pretty inactive over the past few months, but returns to bring their slow-jams to the Champaign crowd. Penny Horses is the most exciting act of the night, having been working on new music over the past few months. The band brings a lo-fi alt-country style that is swinging into town at the perfect time, coming off The Fights’ fantastic 2014 country crusade.
9 p.m. | $3 | Wednesday, April 29
The boys from Bones Jugs N Harmony play their third Champaign-Urbana show in 11 days when they stop by the Canopy Club in Urbana for a late night show. The band has spent most of the year touring off their 2014 release Party’s in the Kitchen. Wednesday night’s show is part of the Summer Camp Wednesdays at Canopy Club, featuring bands playing at the Illinois festival in late May. Oh, and there’s FREE pizza from 9 p.m. – 11 p.m. at Wednesday night’s show.
